IAH’s knowledge and expertise continues to be in demand by organisations and forums across the world. Often this is led by our National Chapters, Commissions and Networks, which organise many events and represent IAH in various national and international initiatives. Examples include the National Ground Water Association’s Annual Groundwater Week in the USA; and the International Water Association’s Groundwater Forum meeting in Toronto during the year.
Other high-level forums that IAH was involved in during the year include the Stockholm International Water Institute’s ‘World Water Week’, which emphasized cross-sectoral cooperation and global water security under the theme, ‘Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future’; and the COP-29 meeting organised by the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, leading to the ‘Declaration on Water and Climate Action’.
