With the steady stream of requests from United Nations agencies for IAH to support preparation of reports and other initiatives, we will launch a new working group to deal with these and to support our commitments under the UN’s Water Action Agenda.
Our ‘Education and Outreach Working Group’ will become operational. We already do much, with our annual congress, conferences and webinars, and events run by chapters, commissions and networks. Tasks will include finalising the draft proposals for our continuing professional development guidance.
The 2024 IAH World Groundwater Congress will take place in Davos, Switzerland, from 08-13 September 2024, organised by the Swiss NC, the Swiss Society of Hydrogeology, and the Centre for Hydrogeology and Geothermics of the University of Neuchâtel. Our 2025 congress will be in Melbourne, Australia.
We aim to have more involvement of our commissions and networks in publishing strategic overview papers and to add to our new Technical Insight Series.
