Governance and managing

IAH’s contribution to UN World Water Day 2022 and IAH’s ‘year for groundwater’ included the São Paulo-Brussels (BraBel) Groundwater Declaration. This highlights the concerns and aspirations of IAH in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At our AGM, members agreed that a review of membership fee categories should be carried out, to help ensure they remain fair for all income groups across our membership.

Our new strategic plan aims to improve the Association’s sustainability, equality and diversity. Under this, we intend to increase membership and retain members by providing benefits and good communication, education, outreach and knowledge transfer. We will collaborate with other organisations to promote understanding, wise use and protection of global groundwater resources. Support for students and our Early Careers Hydrogeology Network is set to increase.
